Mr. Richard Lumley

TBUK is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Chief Risk Officer, Mr. Richard Lumley, who started in his new role with the Bank on 7th March 2022.

Richard brings over 20 years’ experience in credit and risk management, a Chartered Accountant by background and an alumni of the London Business School.

Richard is known to the Bank having supported credit and risk management since July 2021 as a consultant. Prior to joining the Bank Richard has held leadership roles at several Financial Institutions notably taking a start-up, ‘Recognise Bank’ through to the licensing stage as Chief Risk Officer, this required the build out of financial plans, policies, processes, and regulatory interaction with the PRA and FCA. Recognise Bank’s target market and operating model has similarities to TBUK, positioning Richard well to support TBUK going forward.

Mr. Peter Kelly

TBUK is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Credit Manager, Mr Peter Kelly, who started in his new role with the Bank on 11th March 2022.

Mr Kelly has over 35 years’ experience in the banking industry, mostly in credit and credit risk related roles, but has also held relationship roles in the past. Most recently he has been Head of Credit for Punjab National Bank International Limited, where he managed a team of 7 people as well as being a member of various management committees.

As well as managing day to day credit processing, he has also held responsibility for credit portfolio risk, which has frequently involved reshaping of credit policies and procedures, rating processes, credit documentation and dealing with problem positions. He has also been involved with key credit related projects Involving IFRS9 and undertook credit due diligence relating to the successful acquisition of another financial business.

We believe Mr Kelly can play a key role in working with the Head of Credit in the continued transformation of the credit function.

Mr. Kayhan Kenez

TBUK is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Operations Team Leader, Mr. Kayhan Kenez, who started in his new role with the Bank on 8th March 2022.

 Mr. Kenez has over 10 years’ experience in banking sector, most of which has been spent at Turkish Bank (UK) Ltd.

Throughout his career at TBUK he worked at various departments and held different positions including Assistant Commercial Manager, Assistant Branch Manager.

Mr Kenez has re-joined the TBUK as the Team Leader at Central Operations & Call Centre Unit.

TBUK Welcomes its New Finance Assistant: Miss Yagmur Dernek

TBUK is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Finance Assistant, Miss Yagmur Dernek, who started in her new role with the Bank on 01 March 2022.

Miss Dernek has started the Bank as an intern and became an employee as of 1^st March. She is currently studying Economic s. She has finished second year of university and currently on her placement year. Previously she had 6 months internship at Turkish Bank UK LTD.
