Hobby – Mr Resat Bilgin Golf Player

Golf… the only sport that can be played at any age.

Golf is one of the oldest sports in the world and very popular in majority of countries in the world. Belek/Antalya is a popular golf destination with championship golf courses and 5 star hotels by the sea. Belek holds one of the most prestigious golf competitions each year sponsored by Turkish Airlines and attended by top professional golfers in the world including Tiger Wood.

This is a hobby that I started over 10 years ago and then became an addiction in time, which involves in playing in different golf courses in different countries. Each golf course is different than others in terms of lay out, difficulty level and surroundings. There is also a handicap system on golf for amateur players that make everyone compete on the same level, obviously the lower the better.

The beauty of golf is that you could play all around the year, walk at least 7/8km each game, meet new friends and best part is that game always ends up in club house for a nice drink.

I have always been involved in doing some sort of sports all my life, however I am very pleased to say that golf is now a passion for me and the UK is the best country with its beautiful golf courses all over the country. Turkey is also up and coming country with regards to its well-designed and challenging golf courses.
