TurkishBank UK’s Palmers Green Branch is located in the North of London, home to the largest Cypriot community outside Cyprus. As a Bank with deep roots in Cyprus, this provides an excellent opportunity for the branch to be part of the local community, as it has done so for almost 50 years.
The theme that has dominated much our lives for the past few years has been is the impact of the pandemic. Like most businesses, it was a difficult period, but what set the Palmers Green branch apart from other local banks its that it showed its true commitment to its community by remaining open and serving the local customer base. Like all TBUK branches, the Palmers Green branch is a tight knit team, and overcomes its challenges by working closely and as a team.
In our previous Turkish Times issue, we wrote how the Harringay Branch works closely with the Head Office Credit Department for their key products like mortgages and loans, the Central Operations Team for the payment infrastructure, and the Call Centre for the Internet Banking Services. Palmers Green also works with the Head Office for the same functions, so the activity between the Bank network is always live and dynamic! An additional important function of Palmers Green is the quality control checks they conduct on key London Branch documents.
The branch is a team of 5 and has been working together for over a year. Mustafa Dervish, who has a history of 12 years with TurkishBank UK leads the Branch. One to one community and relationship-based banking is becoming rare service to find in the United Kingdom; the TBUK Branches offer this as a unique core service, and in line with this, the vision of the Branch is to continue to build its excellent relationships and customer service to the local area, and contribute to the overall growth pattern of TurkishBank UK.
