Staff Health & Safety Comes First – TBUK embraced Working from Home Practices

The safety and wellbeing of the staff is of paramount importance across TurkishBank Group.  Similarly, following the guidance from UK Government to prevent the spread of the pandemic, TBUK has also swiftly adapted its working practices by moving into weekly rotating teams with half of the Headoffice personnel working from home. In an examplary coordination with Group banks, TBUK Business Continuity Committee has managed a swift and smooth transition to the new temporary working practices.

Increase in VPN connection capacity to enable remote access of the staff to the core systems has been supported by cyber security measures and trainings.  All staff has been provided with regular updates and reminders to foster their awareness on social engineering, phishing, and possible fraud attempts. It was also encouraging to see that all teams have quickly managed to move all meetings to video conferencing with MS Teams and Skype being the widely used platforms. In the meantime, TBUK Business Continuity Committee continues to update and adapt all relevant policy and procedures to ensure effective governance around all new remote working practices.
