Financial Crime Digitalisation Project

TurkishBank UK has been investing in its financial crime systems and controls currently in place, by further developing its digital tools and safeguards. The project is under the management of Amelia Ventura, from TBUK’s MLRO and Compliance. The project is governed by a steering committee with TBUK Board level sponsorship and oversight.

Digitisation is crucial for banks to combat financial crime by improving their ability to detect, prevent and respond to money laundering, fraud, and terrorist financing. Automated and streamlined monitoring and reporting ensures compliance with strict regulatory requirements. By identifying potential threats and suspicious activities, digitisation helps banks mitigate risks, safeguard their reputation, and promote a more secure financial system.
